      A split with Hallsville was the best the Kilgore High School soccer programs could do on Tuesday, with the varsity boys falling on the road to the Bobcats, and the girls winning here at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium. For a moment, it looked like both teams might be in trouble.

      At press time this morning, there wasn't much information available on the Sabine High School Lady Cardinals' UIL Class 3A playoff game against Pittsburg Tuesday night in Daingerfield. The Lady Cardinals did lose to Pittsburg, 49-32, at Daingerfield High School, finishing their season at 18-12.

      One day, the Kilgore High School varsity boys basketball program will break out of their several-season-long playoff slump. But that won't be today. The Bulldogs finished their 2007-08 season at home Tuesday night, losing to Marshall, 63-49.
