GEORGE HARRELL WEATHERLY

Born March 15th, 1932 in Nacogdoches, Texas to George Clifford Weatherly and Bonnie Harrell Weatherly, passed away to the kingdom of God, February 8, 2008.

George was a loyal, devoted and loving husband for over 47 years to surviving wife, Doneta Swarts Weatherly. He was a loving father to three sons: George Jr., Aaron and Matthew, and grandfather to George Jr.'s sons: Joshua and Jacob, and step-grandfather to George Jr.'s wife Caroline's sons, Ryan and Dustin McKay.

George belonged to the Saint Francis Anglican Church for over 35 years. He ran his own interior design business for nearly 50 years and refused to retire as the artist that he truly was. He loved his family so very much and he loved his dogs equally. A kind, generous, aware and compassionate soul who was always there for his family and friends. Nobody was a stranger to George and he could spontaneously converse with anyone. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Our overwhelming gratitude to Dr. Jeb S. Miers for his compassion and continuous loving medical care to George for over 35 years. We also give special thanks to Dr. Lloyd Fiedler for his excellent, loving care of George's wonderful canine family members for over 35 years.

Visitation at Sparkman- Hillcrest located on Northwest Hwy., Monday February 11th, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Memorial service 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12th at Saint Francis Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Francis Anglican Church at 3838 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas, Texas 75229, and/or Operation Kindness at 3201 Earhart Drive Dallas, Texas 75006.
