DONALD LEE THORN

Services for Donald Lee Thorn, 72 of Tyler, are scheduled for 10 am Wednesday in Burks Walker Tippit funeral chapel, with Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery.

Mr. Thorn died February 10, 2008 in Tyler. He was born October 1, 1935 in Tyler, TX to the late Odis Lee and Lillie Mae Staples Thorn. Mr. Thorn was self employed in the used oil field equipment and cattle business. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

He is survived by, sons, Ricky Thorn and wife Laurel of Arp, Victor Thorn of Arp; grandsons Ross and Reed Thorn; brothers, Douglas Thorn of Tyler, Doyle Thorn of Arp, Dean Thorn of Whitehouse.

Pallbearers will be Brian Thorn, Gary Thorn, Charles Tate, Terry Tate, Joe Rasberry, and John Rasberry.

Honorary Pallbearers Jerry Tate, Pete Garrett and Don Porter.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 pm Tuesday.
