Commissioners meet for Rusk County Rusk County Commissioners are scheduled to meet and make several county decisions Monday. Commissioners will consider opening and possibly award bids for the purchase of two pick-up trucks for the sheriff 's department and central air-conditioning unit for Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace office. Commissioners will discuss approval of a resolution designating individuals as authorized signators for the county's Texas Community Development Program STEP Grant in support of Jacobs Water Supply Corporation as well discuss approval of a request from Vickie Walker to be appointed to the Labor Standards Officer for the same corporation. Discussion is slated between commissioners and a representative of Rusk County District Attorney's Office as it relates to a warranty deed on property possibly gifted to the county. Commissioners are slated to approve the annual report and audit for Rusk County Emergency Services, as well as the 2007 racial profiling report to be presented by Darryl Norris, Sheriff 's Lieutenant. In other business commissioners are slated to decide on approval of 2007 events summary for Rusk County Depot, approval of Rusk County Airport fourth-quarter report, approve re-appointment of John Cloutier to North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority Board of Directors, approval of Dick Bishop to have a complete property re-evaluation of county owned buildings for insurance purposes, and present tax assessor collector with a continuing education certificate. Rusk County Commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at Rusk County Courthouse in the Commissioners' Courtroom. |
