HELPING TO WEATHER THE STORM

The OPS Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Liberty City led by Jewel Beasley with help from Mel Goodwin, assistant fire chief for the Sabine Volunteer Fire Department, and from Sabine High School FFA officers on Friday helped load a truck of supplies going to a relief effort in Arkansas for the victims last week's storms that devastated the southern states. Longview-based Gen-Pak, a company that produces styrofoam kitchen ware, donated more than $9000 of its products to the Salvation Army for use in Salvation Army kitchens in Arkansas.
