Kilgore church gets new name

Grace Fellowship is the new name chosen by the congregants of Kilgore First Assembly of God Church of Kilgore. This new name was agreed upon to represent the loving and gracious attitude of the congregation as they welcome new people to their church body.

"We are excited about our new name because it better represents the nature of the people attending our church. We hope individuals and families in East Texas come and see the changes that our church has made," Pastor Brian Nutt said. "We welcome people from all backgrounds and faith journeys to experience what Grace Fellowship has to offer."

Grace Fellowship is a Biblebased Christian community that believes in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. Grace Fellowship services offer inspirational worship and relevant Bible teaching. The congregation considers Grace Fellowship an autonomous, interdenominational church, but the church still maintains affiliation with the Assemblies of God for oversight and accountability. Assemblies of God is not a controlling denomination, but rather a fellowship with whom the church connects.

Visitors often remark on the friendliness and cheerfulness of Grace Fellowship. The church has a bright, clean, staffed nursery; vibrant children's ministry, including children's church each Sunday morning; a full slate of Wednesday evening teaching for all ages; and loving ministry to the whole family.

Grace Fellowship welcomes all and has congregation members from many different denominational backgrounds and some with no past church affiliation at all.
