Coach Jason Maroney said the JV Bulldogs sat through a twohour rain delay. Kilgore and Center played to a 10-all tie.

The JV will be back in action Tuesday in Lindale in Lindale's annual Valentine's tournament. In boys doubles play against Center for the KHS JV Tuesday, Kilgore won two of the three matchups Chance Grantham and Jose Tapia beat Justin Yeary and Keith Harding, 8-6; Dylan Sanders and Daniel Modisette lost to Will McFarland and Mario Jimenez, 8-2; and Grantham and Tapia beat Wesley Howard and John Singson, 8-4.

Kilgore's girls almost took a sweep in doubles matches. Chelsey Cox and Caitlind Trowbridge beat Cassie Cox and Heather Bailey, 8-3; Linsey Cardoso and Monte Broussard beat Stephanie Schulnick and Haley Greer, 8-3; Shivani Patel and Lynsey Howell beat Carolina Ruiz and Tiffany Ruizo, 8-6; and in a bit of a mixed match, Alison Guthrie and Zonera Javed lost to John Burns and David Bender 9-8 (8-6).

In boys singles play, Grantham beat Yeary, 9-7; Modisette lost to Will McFarland, 8-5; Tapia lost to Keith Harding, 8-5; Sanders lost to Wesley Howard, 8-0, and to Jimenez, 8-0.
