DON B. BENNETT

Don B. Bennett was born on April 10, 1928 in Alexandria, La. and went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 25, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murt and Jewel Bennett; brothers, Dale E. and Bobby Ray Bennett; son James Nicklaus Bennet; and grandson, Travis Nicklaus- Ratliff.

Don graduated from Overton High School and obtained his college degree from Indiana State University. He served in the U.S. Army as a soldier in the Korean War. As a young man he was a teacher, coach and athletic trainer.

His sister, Suzi Page, and her husband Bob, their sons; three daughters and their families, Amanda and Michael Bennett-Vessa of Basel, Switzerland; Wendy and Mike Ratliff of Bowie, Tx. Nicky and Sam Cureton of El Reno, Ok.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson.
