DRANNON R. MOORE

Funeral services for Drannon R. Moore, 92, New London, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, at the Cottle Pearson Funeral Home chapel, with the Reverend Johnny Wright and Reverend Atwell Hankins officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near New London under the direction of Cottle Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Mr. Moore died Thursday, January 31, 2008 in New London. He was born January 23, 1916 in Flomont to the late Llewellyn Mayfield and Mary Elizabeth Clary Moore. He married Edna I. Moore October 26, 1941, in Arizona and worked for Gaudet Lumber Company. He retired in 1991 as a self employed Contractor. He had worked with the bus ministry at the First Baptist Church in New London and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Overton. He loved baseball, and gardening. His family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife Edna I. Moore October 28, 2007; a son and daughter-in-law, Harrison Leon and Jean Moore; a granddaughter, Toni Collete Moore; three brothers, Lee Marvin Moore, Carl Harrison Moore, and Calvin Moore; a sister, Allie Mae Monroe.

Survivors include, a daughter and son-in -law, Carolyn Sue and Jerome Walters, New London; a son, Danny Ray Moore, New London; seven grandchildren, Janice Angelico, Daniel Moore, Shannon Walters, Robert Moore Toy, Sharon Stuart, Donna Cline and Angela Vega; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Moore, Shannon Walters, Robert Moore, Richard Moore, Christopher Moore, and Ryan Cline.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2 , at the funeral home.
