Tomorrow is Groundhog Day. I wonder if the little guy is going to emerge from his burrow and see his shadow. Let's hope he doesn't, since legend has it his shadow tells him winter will continue for six more weeks.

One thing I look forward to all year long is Super Bowl Sunday. Not for the game. Not for the snack-foods. Instead, I look forward to the commercials. In my opinion they are the absolute best. What other event will advertising big-wigs shell out millions of marketing-dollars for 30-second commercial spots? In any case this is the only occasion I really welcome station breaks.

For those of you who missed last week's Kilgore High School Miss Dawg pageant, this week's 9th annual fashion and talent show 7 p.m. tomorrow night at the KHS Auditorium may suffice to fill the void. Admission is $5.
