BONNIE MAE GILLIS

Funeral services for Bonnie Mae Gillis, 88, of Marshall will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008 at Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home, of Marshall, with Father John Himes officiating. Interment will be in Algoma Cemetery-North. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednewday, Jan. 30, 2008. Uner the direction fo Sullivan Hester Funeral Home. She passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 in Marshall, She was born Nov. 11, 1919, to Louise McCraney and Andrew Truitt.

She married Charles Frederick Gillis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 2000.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Jerri Gillis of Marshall, Fred and Carol Gillis of Irving; two daughters, Betty V. Gillis Alder of Kilgore and Judy Gillis of Marshall; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; twin sister, Rose Macey of Bossier City; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Janie Carnegie.
