Rusk County sets voting locations

The 2008 Rusk County elelection are approaching fast and there are certain things voters need to do and know to insure they can vote in the upcoming eleciton according to Kathie Wittner, Rusk County election manager.

Wittner said the 2008 Rusk County voting locations are as follows; precinct 111, Grandview, 176 County Rd. 202; precinct 112, Overton Community Center; precinct 113, Kilgore Sub-Station Peterson Rd.; precinct 114 (Old) New London Community Center; precinct 201, Executive Branch Bldg. 204 N. Main, Henderson; precinct 212, 3711 County Rd. 225 D 213 Monroe Community Center; precinct 214, Stewart Box 215 Tatum JP Prec. 2; precinct 302, 1102 Wilson St. Henderson; precinct 303, Henderson Community Center; precinct 314, Rusk County Rec. Assoc. 1990 Hwy 259 South, Henderson; precinct 315, Pinehill 3200 County Rd 3116; precinct 316, Minden 11375 County Rd. 317; precinct 317, Concord 6068 County Rd 3198; precinct 318, Mt. Enterprise Community Center; precinct 319, Sulphur Springs 17265 County Rd 3227; precinct 404, South Main Church of Christ, Henderson; precinct 405, Henderson Metro Church 118 Hwy 79 South; precinct 416, Expo Ag Center 3303 FM 13 W, Henderson; precinct 417, Carlise 2541 Hwy 42 South and precinct 418, Prec. 4 County Barn, 13612 FM 1798 W.

Wittner said early voting for the March 4 primary begins Feb. 19 and ends Feb. 29. Voting at the Rusk County Courthouse will be weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Sat. Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sun. Feb. 24, from noon until 5 p.m.

Branch early voting will be on Feb. 19 and 20 at the County Barn, Precint 4, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 21 and 22 at the Mt. Enterprise Community Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 25 and 26 at the Tatum JP #2 Office from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Feb. 28 and 29 at the Kilgore sub-station from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wittner said anyone who has not received their new voter registration card, needs to make a change or register to vote should call Rusk County Elections at 903-657-0321. The last day to make any changes or register to vote is Feb. 4.
