HERB PAUL

Services for Herb Paul, 83, of Kilgore will be two p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl W. "Buddy" Duggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Danville Cemetery. Mr. Paul passed away Tuesday in Longview.

Mr. Paul was born July 23, 1924 in Long Beach, California to the late Herbert and Maggie Paul. Mr. Paul served in the United States Air Force in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers during World War II. He also taught Jump School while serving in the military. Mr. Paul moved to Kilgore in 1958. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Danville Masonic Lodge #101. Mr. Paul worked as sales representative for Pangburn Chocolates for many years. He was also a licensed Real Estate Agent specializing in Farm and Ranch properties. Herb was a member of the Pinecrest Bible Church in Longview. He will always be remembered for being a consummate patriot who loved his country.

Mr. Paul is survived by his wife Beulah Paul of Kilgore; two sons Ernie Paul of Lake Cherokee and James H. Kennemer of Justin; one daughter and son-in-law Kay Paul and Gary Ketchum of Kilgore; two sisters Helen Branum of Pennsylvania and Frances Idom of Longview; two brothers Charles Paul of Grand Prairie and Donald Paul of Monroe, Louisiana as well as many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Wednesday evening between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m.
