MINISTER'S MOMENT
Tree and fruit
JUSTIN LINSEISEN

"By their fruit, we will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, and every bad tree bears bad fruit." Matthew 7;16-17

The Bible tells us that we will be able to tell Christians by their "fruit." You will be able to tell by how they live their life. You won't find a fig on a thorn tree, or a grape in the thistle.

A quote: "The best sermons are LIVED, not preached."

This is so true. Scripture says we will recognize them by their fruit! If you profess to be a Christian and are not living like a Christian should, you might want to examine yourself to make sure you have made that commitment to God. Lamentations 3:40 says, "Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord."

Now, I am not saying that we are saved by our works, because we are not. "For by grace we are saved through faith, and not of ourselves. It is a gift from God. Not by works, so no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

Also, faith without works is dead, because deeds are the evidence OF faith. "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." James 2:26

Salvation is a free gift from God Almighty. So let me ask you a question... Do you knw Jesus? The most important question you will every answer is "Do you know Jesus?". God loves you so much, He loves you SO MUCH! Just accept His free gift.

America, if we profess to be Christians, then let's act like it!

"The Lord bless and keep you; may His face shine upon you and be gracious; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
