MADELINE ROSE SACCOCCIO SIMMONS

Services for Mrs., Madeline Rose Saccoccio Simmons, 62, of Longview will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at the Chandler Street Church of Christ in Kilgore with Mr. Chris Vidacovich officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park in Longview. Mrs. Simmons passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Madeline was born Jan. 19, 1946 at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA. to the late Peter Paul and Annie Flora "Flo" Saccoccio. Mrs. Simmons graduated from Kilgore College and attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and Brazosport College in Lake Jackson. Madeline was a member of the Chandler Street Church of Christ. She worked for Dillard's for more than 20 years and she was also a licensed real estate agent.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Simmons of Longview; two children Toni and husband Shannon Ivey of La Porte and Kevin Simmons of La Porte; two sisters and brothers-in-law Rita and Greg Fitzsimmons of Raymore, MO and Paula and Rex Goodson of Katy; one brother and sister-in-law Peter Paul and LaDonna Saccoccio of White Oak; six grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

The family would like to especially thank the staff of the Carthage Healthcare Center for loving and devoted care.
