Services for Vernon Roy Walker, will be10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton, with the Rev. Atwell Hankins officiating. Burial will be in the Mason Cemetery, Arp. Mr. Walker died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in Kilgore. He was born June 6, 1918, to William Pickney Walker and Mary Bell Spears Walker.
