LIBERTY CITY WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION will hold its annual membership meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at its office, 193 PR 3508. The meeting is held by members to elect directors to expiring board terms. One director's position is open, with incumbent Jim Cox nominated for re-election. Members interested in running for this position should contact the LCWSC office for a Qualifications and Consent Form, which must be completed and returned no later than Jan. 23, 2009.

TUESDAY

KILGORE MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE will meet at Country Place Village at noon on Jan. 6. All Kilgore area ministers are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided with a meeting to follow.

RUSK COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CLUB will have a special meeting Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. in the community room of Henderson Federal Savings, 130 N. Marshall.

THE ROY H. LAIRD FOUNDATION AUXILIARY is still taking paperback books in the gift shop. These books generate monies for scholarships for Kilgore Jr. College students who are enrolled in the medical field, and also to pay for prescriptions for the elderly.

GREGG COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS are involved in many community gardening and landscaping projects. A 10- week Master Gardener training course will begin Jan. 7, 2009.
