TOMMY J. CRAVER

Graveside services for Tommy J. Craver, 82, of Kilgore were Dec. 31, 2008, at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens. He died Dec. 28 in Kilgore.

Mr. Craver was born April 18, 1926, in Olney, to Rufus Leonard and Birdie Beatrice Craver. He graduated from Pine Tree High School and B.M.I. of Longview. Mr. Craver served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Craver worked for Kilgore First National Bank from 1947 until 1992, serving as Senior Vice President and on the Board of Directors. He was currently working for Regions Bank, who he had served since 2000. Mr. Craver had served as a Director for the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Craver is survived by two sisters and brother-inlaw, Jean and Jearl Shavor of Brownsboro and Barbara Garcia of Longview; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. James and Rhonda Craver of Allen; sister-in-law, Earline Craver of Mineola; numerous nieces, nephews as well as many other loving family and friends.

Mr. Craver is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, one niece and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Camille Acres Baptist Church Building Fund, 2920 Gilmer Rd., Longview, Texas 75604.
