KILGOROUND

KATHRYN PENROSE

You may have noticed that we were running behind on Wednesday. Our apologies. It was a long day, complete with technical and mechanical difficulties.

Well Happy thanksgiving — again. I hope everyone had a wonderful day filled with joy and surrounded by family and friends.

I have never been one to migrate from house to house on Thanksgiving, but this year was a little different; since my family could not all be in the same place at the same time on turkey day we had our family feast on Wednesday night.

So what to do on Thursday? I mean you just have to have turkey and football on Thanksgiving; so my son and I went to Cedar Creek Lake (outside of Gun Barrel City) and did round two with a friend's family.

It is always fun to see

how other families celebrate and what their family favorites are. So we had our first taste of squash casserole and cranberry salad.

So after a lot of passing the plate and a little friendly football, some fishing and a lot of televised sports the day ended — a total success.
