Santa comes to Oil Museum

Santa Claus will make a special appearance at the East Texas Oil Museum the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Nov. 29.

Santa will be available for photographs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and parents are asked to bring their own cameras for photo sessions with him.

Children up to age 11 will be admitted free to the museum by bringing four can goods of nonperishable food products to benefit the Kilgore Helping Hands program. Admission for adults is $6 and the museum tour lasts approximately two hours.

Museum hours for the week of Thanksgiving are Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.

Located at U.S. 259 and Ross Street on the Kilgore College campus, the museum will be decorated for the holidays until Jan. 1, 2009.
