KAREN EDNEY

Services for Karen Edney, 47, of Liberty City, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Ms. Edney died Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Longview.

She was born December 20, 1960, in Kilgore. She had been employed as a dietician at Good Shepherd Medical Center. She was a loving mother and grandmother known as "NawNaw" who cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Karen enjoyed cooking and collecting strawberry artifacts.

Ms. Edney is survived by her fiancé, Kevin Bryant, Sr., of Liberty City; two daughters, April Ford and Sarah Ford, both of Liberty City; a son, Jeremy Ford of Liberty City; her father, Vernon Edney of Liberty City; two brothers, Curtis Edney and David Edney, both of Liberty City; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her mother, Dorothy Edney, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21.
