NOVELL MCGREGOR

Services for Novell McGregor, 95, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bennie Portwood officiating.

Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGregor died November 18, 2008, at Tyler Hospital.

She was born to the late John and Blanche Stanley on August 30, 1913. She resided in Troup all of her adult life and retired from Gulf States Telephone Company. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. McGregor was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Wesley McGregor; grandson, Charlie McGregor, Jr.; brothers, Glen Stanley, Troy Stanley, Elmer Stanley; and a sister, Katheleen Gulledge.

Survivors include sons, Charles McGregor of Longview, Thomas McGregor of Whitehouse, Johnny Mc- Gregor of Maydelle; brothers, Loyd Stanley and Kenneth Stanley of Whitehouse; sisters, Minnie Stainback of Tyler, Girthal Miller of Whitehouse; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Yulan McGregor, John McGregor, Craig McGregor, Christopher McGregor, Marshall Tucker, and Spencer McGregor. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
