Adelyn Pearson was born July 15, 1911, in Chicago, Ill., to Fred and Anna Pearson. She died on Nov. 18, 2008, in Tyler at 97 years of age. After high school, she attended the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, majoring in piano. She taught musical kindergarten classes, as well as private piano for many years.
