Eight Rangers SWJCFC All-Conference
Five named to first team

      Eight Kilgore College Rangers were selected following the Southwest Junior College Football Conference season as All- Conference, and five of them made the first team, the conference announced Monday. Tight end Woody McClendon, wide receiver/kick returner Kendrick Johnson, cornerbacks Victor Carmichael and Jimmy Anderson, defensive lineman Alex Kautai, linebacker L.T.

BULLDOGS MEET ENNIS IN AREA ROUND FRIDAY

Kilgore (9-2) will face Ennis (10-1) on Friday in the area round of the UIL Class 4A playoffs at Mesquite Memorial Stadium. The booster club is taking a bus. If you'd like to go, tickets are $20 and are on sale at the KHS athletic offices. The bus will load at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the KHS student parking lot, and will leave at 4:45.

      It certainly was premature to write the Dallas Cowboys out of the playoff picture after they fell to 5-4. So it's probably premature to write them back in now that they've reached 6-4, although in a very competitive NFC, they likely have a good shot.

      BASKETBALL KC teams in action tonight Both the men's and women's basketball teams from Kilgore College are back in action tonight. Coach Brian Hoberecht's Rangers (2-5) host Cedar Valley at 7 p.m., and also play Thursday night at home against Southwest Christian, another 7 p.m. tipoff.
