EMMA LOUISE SIBLEY

Funeral services for Emma Louise Sibley, 69, of Overton, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Faith Tabernacle Of God In Christ with Minister Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Steber Grove Cemetery under the direction of Cunningham Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 12, 1939, to Gid and Lomer Dudley Smith in Gregg County. She attended Kilgore schools and was a member of St. John Steber Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Kilgore schools, where she was a custodian.

She died Nov. 7 at a Longview hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Verneitta Hamilton; and one brother, Charles Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Willie C. Sibley, of Overton; two daughters, Sharon Tralar (David) of Kilgore and Cecilia Gregg (Daryl) of Longview; two sons, Aladdin Sibley, of Kilgore, and Rydell Sibley (Lisa) of Kilgore; siblings, Ernestine Colbert, Overton, Margaret Pierce (Shirley Mack), of Kilgore, Rommie Smith (Laquincia) of Kilgore, Raymond Smith (Mary Ann), of Marshall; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be 1 to 9 p.m.
