City council to get update on Allegiance Specialty Hospital Allegiance Specialty Hospital is slated to give an update on hospital operations at the next regularly scheduled meeting of Kilgore City Council next week. Carol Hinton, director of tourism for the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce, will also present her quarterly report. The council's consent agenda includes approval of minutes for city council and Kilgore Economic Development Corporation in October and November; approval of a contract with D.K. Haney Roofing for roof replacement at Kilgore Police Department in the amount of $59,456; and approval of Gregg County contract with Kilgore Public Library to serve the functions of County Library for a period ending September of next year. No public hearings are scheduled. The council is also expected to approve the tax sale of property located at 1116 through 1208 South Commerce to Chris Dunsworth, of C&J Estate Management, LLC, in the amount of $12,500; approve consulting agreement between the city and Tri-Stem, Ltd., for an audit and study of prior utility billing to determine that paid amounts are correct; adopt ordinance 1405 amending the fiscal budget for Kilgore Rescue Unit by increasing the General Fund Budget and the estimated revenue budgeted by $8,000; and authorize Jeff Howell, city manager, to enter into a contract between Franklin Publishing and the city for legal review and re-codification of the Kilgore Code of Ordinances. Also, the council may go behind closed doors to discuss possible acquisition of real estate for potential downtown parking; and for the city manager's evaluation. Kilgore city council meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Kilgore City Hall.
