John Edney, Kilgore Veteran's Monument director, said there will be a Veterans Day ceremony at U.S. Veteran's Monument in Harris St. Park next Tuesday at 2 p.m. Edney invites all veterans and family and anyone wishing to pay tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. He adds there will be a guest speaker.

Kilgore High School will be hosting their last home football game Friday night with the Bulldogs hosting Nacodgoches at R. E. St. John's Stadium at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs have made the playoffs, but where, when and who have not yet been determined. Kilgore College Ranger Football is headed for the first round of the playoffs this Saturday against Blinn. The Rangers will host Blinn at 3 p.m. at R.E. St. John's Stadium. Come out and support Ranger football as they try and move on to the championship game.
