LEVERETT'S CHAPEL ADVANCES

Photo by Rev. Edwin Findley Photo by Rev. Edwin Findley The Leverett's Chapel Lady Lions (22-10 overall), the co-champs of District 20-1A, beat Waskom Tuesday night, 25-15, 25-21, 15-25, 25- 17, at Marshall High School gym. Waskom was the third-place team from District 19-A. "The first two started off really well," LC head coach Tasha Jacobs said. "The third game we got complacent. We just relaxed. They did not think it was going to be a tough match, but they pulled together and we are still playing." LC will play Wolf City in a Class 1A area playoff on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Right: Jordan Corpier of Leverett's Chapel slams the ball over Waskom's Kirbie Munden.
