Great season ends for KHS
Pine Tree's Lady Pirates end Kilgore's season in bi-district round

      It was definitely a playoff atmosphere at Kilgore High School gym on Tuesday night, something that's been missing for a long time for the KHS volleyball team. Kilgore hosted Pine Tree in a UIL Class 4A bi-district playoff game last night, a big crowd for both teams but an especially large crowd for Kilgore, making its first playoff appearance in about 15 seasons.

LEVERETT'S CHAPEL ADVANCES
      The Leverett's Chapel Lady Lions (22-10 overall), the co-champs of District 20-1A, beat Waskom Tuesday night, 25-15, 25-21, 15-25, 25- 17, at Marshall High School gym. Waskom was the third-place team from District 19-A.

JV wins district tourney
JUNIOR VARSITY HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS

      The Kilgore High School varsity tennis team concluded its fall season last weekend with a nice showing in the Class 4A Region 2 tournament in Grapevine, and Tuesday, the KHS junior varsity was impressive in its own right, winning first place in the District 14-4A JV tournament.
