CHARLES SMITH
Funeral services for Charles Smith, 67, of Kilgore will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at New Birth Fellowship Church with the Rev. Gary L. Walker officiating. Burial will be in St. John Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
Charles was born on Aug. 12, 1941, in Kilgore to Gid and Lomer Dudley-Smith. He died Oct. 30 in Longview.
He worked many years as a paint and body mechanic at Ringler Chevrolet and in maintenance at Kilgore Independent School District .
His parents, grandparents, Frank and Emma Dudley, a son, Mitch Smith, a sister, Verneitta Hamilton, two grandchildren, Erica and Natalia, and a great-grandchild all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Audry Mae Smith, of Kilgore; his children, Austin Orange and Dolen Smith, both of Kilgore, Bruce Orange, Charles Eugene Smith, Tracy Orange, Torie Smith and Melissa Smith, all of Longview, Lamarcus Smith of Henderson, andLavondray Jackson of Dallas; siblings, Ernestine Colbert and Louise Sibley, both of Overton, Margaret Pierce, Raymond Smith and Rommie Smith, all of Kilgore; 14 grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, Nov. 7, from noon until 8 p.m. with the family visitation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services.
