Business members came to a meeting last night at KHS to hear from Superintendent Jody Clements about things business members cam do to get involved with students at KISD and to help support the schools. Kilgore ISD Superintendent Jody Clements told businessmen during a meeting last night there are many ways they came become more involved with the district's campuses.
From adopting a campus to providing volunteers to mentor students, from providing needed school supplies to just giving cash donations, the superintendent said they could make a difference in students' lives.
"We want our students to learn from the very businesses that will be recruiting them when they graduate," said Clements.
Last night the following businesses and representatives attended the meeting; East Texas Lumber, Ronnie Spradlin; Laird Insurance, Harvey Mc- Clendon; Kilgore Crisis Center, Eugene Davis; Jordan Leasing, Dale Jordan; Austin Bank, Billie Sue Mims; Valerus Compression, Joni Rice; and Orgill, Inc., Vic Price.
Clements said many businesses who responded to the invitation by phone said, due to the hour, they could not attend the meeting but were interested in participating in the program.

Clements said KISD will announce another opportunity to meet with interested businesses in the near future.
