The Kilgore Historical Preservation Foundation presented "Shake, Rattle and Role" last night at the World's Richest Acre. Deana Covin headed the committee for KHPF which brought this nostalgic entertainment to Kilgore. Music from the 1950s was the theme, complete with poodle skirts and pink sunglasses. The singers interacted with the audience which numbered over 150. Covin is also leading the committee which will present Christmas in the Patch in November. More...

The Texas Shakespeare Festival at Kilgore College will use its grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts to support the 2009 season's youth activities. The TCA grant of $4,639 will help underwrite the TSF's high school acting and stage combat workshops. It will also provide a percentage of the salaries for directors and designers of the 2009 children's production. More...
