MAE MITCHELL

Services for Mae Mitchell, 92, New London, are scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at the Cottle- Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bob Jones and Ken Hayman officiating. Burial will be in the Lakewood Cemetery, Henderson.

She died Wednesday, Oct. 22, in New London.

She was born April 8, 1916, in Rusk County, to William and Virginia Flanagan Wherry and was a lifetime resident of the New London area. She was a member of the London Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Mitchell; her parents; two brothers, Varne Wherry and William "Bill" Wherry; and a sister, Lorene Dunn.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Maribel Mitchell, New London; two grandchildren and their spouses; four greatgrandchildren; nieces; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Wherry and Elsie Wherry.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Crumpler, Bubba McFarland, Steve Wedgeworth, Larry Clinkscales, Glenn McCommon and Paul David Harris.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24.
