BOBBY DEWAYNE HANKINS

Funeral services for Bobby Dewayne Hankins, 73, of Leveretts Chapel, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. The Rev. G.D. Tucker will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rusk County.

He died Wednesday in Rusk County.

Bobby Dewayne Hankins was born on Feb. 1, 1935, to Willie Lee and Ola Bess Hankins. Mr. Hankins worked as a pumper in the oil fields, and resided in Leverett's Chapel. He was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Laird Hill.

Survivors include his wife. Shirley Wacasey Hankins; six daughters, Janis and Wayne Jordan of Kilgore, Carolyn and Larry Synaground of Kilgore, Linda and Eric Smithson of Dallas, Elizabeth and David Doyle of Kilgore, Theresa and Kevin Smith of Conroe, and Regina Hankins of Kilgore; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Pat Gilmore of Tulsa, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister, and a grandson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the funeral home.
