A 12-year-old author will autograph books at a downtown Kilgore shop on Saturday, Oct. 18. Julie "J.K." Hawkins will be at Goodday Coffee + Books from 3 to 5 p.m. to sign copies of her debut children's book, "My Vampire Cousin." The book is the first of a new series called "My Weird Family Series" published by Lily Ruth Publishing in Sumner, near Paris.
