DOROTHY FAYE McCLARD

Graveside services for Dorothy Faye McClard, 78, Kilgore, were, Oct.14, at the Mason Cemetery, Arp, with Elder Vernis Stanaland officiatied under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

She died Oct.10, 2008, in a Kilgore nursing home. She was born June 27, 1930 in Pomona, Calf. to the late Samuel Clark and Willie Colley Blanton. She moved to Kilgore from Wright City in 1956 and was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Douglas McClard and by a brother, John Blanton.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Garcia of Kilgore; a brother, Leroy Blanton of Calf; five sisters, Leona Parish of Kilgore, Rita Soloman of Conway, Arkansas, Amelia Hamilton of Kempner, Marlene McGehee of Evergreen, and Darlene Blanton; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
