BENA MASSAD

Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Bena Massad, of Kilgore will be held were Oct.11, 2008 at Christ the Catholic Church. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.

She passed away on Oct.10, 2008. She was born Bena Korkmas on Aug. 6, 1921 in Fort Smith, Ark. to Joseph H. and Nazha Korkmas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Massad. Bena and Kelly were owner and operating children's and ladies' ready-to-wear stores in Kilgore and Longview for three decades. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Kilgore.

Besides her husband, Bena was preceded in death by her infant son, Gregory Paul and a sister, Isabel Joseph.

She is survived by daughter, Donna Naifeh and her husband, Dr. Jerome Naifeh of Dallas; son Kelly M. Massad and his wife Laurene of Plano; daughter, Shelley Dill and her husband, G. Michael Dill of Tulsa, Okla.; son John Michael Massad of Lufkin; and son, Ralph A. Massad of Kilgore; grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Aileen Massad, Katy Nassif; Dr. Fred Korkmas and Dr. Maurice Korkmas; sistersin law, numerous nieces and nephews.
