Lions Club Annual Halloween Carnival on new night

      Kilgore Lions Club members are doing things a little different for their annual Halloween Carnival — this year it will be on Nov. 1 instead of Oct. 31. That is the only change, however, and the affair will still offer all of the great activities for young and old at heart.

Rotary Club Annual Fish Fry coming in November

      Kilgore Rotary Club participated in a joint meeting with Lions, Kiwanis and Chamber this week to hear Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, speak on the financial crisis Congress has been dealing with for the past couple of weeks. But that did not stop Rotarians from continuing work on their annual fish fry which is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, from 5 until 8 p.m.

      Frankenstein and his bride have already sent their RSVPs. So have Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Emeril Lagasse and Carmen Miranda, to name a few. Organizers of the upcoming Kilgore Habitat for Humanity "Dishin' the Dirt" fundraiser on Oct. 25 say just about everybody who's anybody will want to be there, too.
