OUR NEW EDITOR here, Brenda Brown, tells me she's a fifth-generation Texan. That would extend back to her great-greatgrandparents. I HAVE no idea where my great-greats lived. I can count four generations of paternal relatives who were at least part-time Texans. Our family is a peripatetic bunch and each member of those four generations spent some time outside the state.
