DOROTHY FAYE McCLARD

Graveside services for Dorothy Faye McClard, 78, Kilgore, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 14, at the Mason Cemetery, Arp, with Elder Vernis Stanaland officiating under direction of Cottle- Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Mrs. McClard died Friday, October 10, 2008, in a Kilgore nursing home. She was born June 27, 1930 in Pomona, California to the late Samuel Clark and Willie Colley Blanton. She moved to Kilgore from Wright City in 1956 and was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Douglas McClard August 24, 1984 and by a brother, John Blanton.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Garcia of Kilgore; a brother, Leroy Blanton of California; five sisters, Leona Parish of Kilgore, Rita Soloman of Conway, Arkansas, Amelia Hamilton of Kempner, Marlene McGehee of Evergreen, and Darlene Blanton; three grandchildren, Steven Garcia, Jason Garcia, and Joshua Garcia; seven great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Garcia, Blake Garcia, Davian Garcia, Melayna Garcia, Cora Garcia, Preston Graham, and Nathan Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, October 13.
