THE KHS WAR YEARS REUNION GROUP will meet Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. for their monthly lunch/meeting at Cheddar's, 3074 N. Eastman Rd., Longview. THURSDAY

KILGORE HISTORICAL PRESERVATION FOUNDATION will present "Shake, Rattle and Roll" in a free concert from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, on the Winter Elder Stage at the World's Richest Acre Park. Bring your lawn chair and plan to spend an hour strolling down memory lane to music of the 1950s and '60s.

FIRST BAPTSIT CHURCH, YOUNG AT HEART SENIOR ADULTS monthly meeting for Oct. is scheduled for 11:45 Thursday, the 16 at the church fellowship hall. Scott Dickerson, Sr. Vice President of Texas Bank and Trust in Longview, will speak on "Identity Theft and Fraud". Immediately following the program, those going on the Nov. Trip to Branson will have an important informational meeting. FRIDAY

HIGHLAND PARK BAPTIST CHURCH will host its annual bazaar and soup luncheon on Oct. 17 at the church's family life center. The soup luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.,for more information (903) 984-6900.

KILGORE TOGETHER AND ST. LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH are sponsoring a post-game movie in the park on Oct. 10. Activities will include free food and prizes. The "Fifth Quarter" activities are all in Kilgore City Park and begin after the football game.

SATURDAY

THE EAST TEXAS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY will hold its regular monthly meeting on Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Tyler Public Library in the Taylor Auditorium. The featured speaker will be Don Raney, a sixth generation Texan.

ST. LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH ANNUAL PUMPKIN PATCH BEGINS OCT. 3 - Weekdays 4-6 p.m.; Saturdays 10-6 and Sundays 1-6 p.m. 401 East Main Street, Kilgore.

THE MASONIC LODGE OF KILGORE will host a Pancake Breakfast on Oct. 11 from 8 a.m. to noon. You can eat it there or take it home. The lodge is located on Stone Road. This is a fundraiser for the lodge.

PIRTLE METHODIST CHURCH FALL BAKE SALE, rummage sale and luncheion will be Friday and Saturday Oct. 10-11 beginning at 8 a.m. Go 3.5 miles south of loop on 259, turn left on CR 146, follow signs.

CATCH THE HOPE! is the theme of the 17th annual Alzheimer's Walk, set 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at LeTourneau University in Longview. Registration, free food and family entertainment begin at 5, followed by the walk and a commemorative candle lighting ceremony.
