MLMS holds Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Maude Laird Middle School Oct. 14-17 .

Diane Wimberly, MLMS librarian, said an open house will be held Monday, Oct. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and members of the community are invited.

The book fair will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Proceeds from the book fair will be used to purchase new books for the library. Parents may purchase books from the "teacher wish list" to donate to selected teachers.

The librarian said MLMS is also participating with Scholastic in a project called "One For Books" where people may donate change to benefit to a local meaningful project.
