Kilgore High School second-year coach Lacy Thompson might have felt the same way on Friday night following her team's four-game win over Nacogdoches that included an emotional 30-28 win in game three.

      WINONA — In Winona's first football game against Sabine since 2001, a 6-0 Cardinal victory, the Wildcats won their homecoming game in style, 48-3 over the Cardinals on Friday night. Winona (5-0) was paced by running back C.J. Petty, who raced 92 yards around the left sideline for a touchdown on the Wildcats first play from scrimmage.

Lions win, 68-38, start district play Friday

      LADONIA — Leverett's Chapel Lions finished their pre-district contest by spoiling the Fannindel Falcons homecoming, 68-48, on Friday night. The Lions rolled to over 420 yards of offense, and held the Falcons to 307 total yards.
