Happy102 years young

Goldie Mae Taylor Goldie Mae Taylor celebrated her 102 birthday with her family and friends on Sept. 28 with her family and friends at Kilgore Manor.

Taylor's only daughter, Parthina Jones Polk and four of the grandchildren, Teresa J. Roberson, Eva J. Harkless, Mardine Sears, and Frankie Smith were present for the celebration.

The celebration included music, songs, tributes and refreshments.

Taylor is the grandmother of eight grandchildren, four are deceased and great-grandchildren, with one deceased. She is also the great-great- grandmother of twenty-one with one deceased.

In Taylor's earlier years, she was always busy in her house and yard taking care of her flowers and fruit trees. She liked to can and preserve her fruits and was always willing to share her blessings with others. She loved to fish and spend time with her family and friends.
