Green card applicants mandated to get HPV

      DALLAS (AP) — A new requirement that girls as young as 11 be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted virus before they can become legal U.S. residents is unfair, immigration advocates say. The federal rule added Gardasil to the list of vaccinations that female immigrants ages 11 to 26 must get before they can obtain "green cards.

Kilgore Police report
      On Thursday, Kilgore officers responded to 29 calls and made three arrests. KPD worked one auto accident without injuries and two regarding thefts. Other calls included: three regarding suspicious activities, persons and vehicles; one unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; one disturbance; two for telephone harassment; one burglary of a vehicle; and six for animal control.
