KILGORE SOCCER ASSOCIATION REPORT EDITOR'S NOTE: This report is from last weekend's games of the Kilgore Soccer Association (KSA). The report comes from reports submitted by league coaches. Names are spelled here in the Kilgore News Herald exactly as they are printed. Reports with incomplete names won't appear in the paper. Games are played Saturdays at the sports complex on Highway 135. This roundup will normally run on Thursdays in the News Herald sports section. Coaches reports are due by 5 p.m. on Monday. Under-6 girls • Lil' Americans vs. Glamour Girlz: For the Lil' Americans, Madison Alford, Danny Fyffe, Maddie Roach, Kayla Casterline and Gracie Vasquez all scored. Gracie Tharp and Caitlin Bates played excellent defense, coach Patti Gutierrez said, and all the girls played with good teamwork. Gutierrez is assisted by Bobby Tharp. Under-6 boys • Strykers vs. Avengers: Chase Borders, Hunter Lewis and James Males all scored for the Strykers in this contest, and Ryan Beddingfield and Zach Smith also played well offensively. Defensive standouts were Caden Plunkett, Josh Harrison and Carter Boone. The Strykers are coached by Jennifer La Rue and sponsored by C.R. Beddingfield General Contractors. • Scorpions vs. Mustangs: For the Scorpions, top offensive players were Conner Hubbard, Adrian Martinez, Kaden Pruett, and Preston Woodall. Top defensive players were Caleb Barber, Ryan Hamilton, Jimmy Kelly, and Jason Madden. The team is coached by Mike Madden and Brandon Woodall, and sponsored by Stinger Wellhead. Under-8 boys • Dynamo vs. Henderson Royals: For the Dynamo, Jace Sims had a hat trick (three goals), and Colton Hanna and Dawson Blear also scored. David Amaro and Kyle Johnson were offensive standouts as well. Top defenders were Michael Raymond, Dusty Allen, Jared Espinosa, Kade Kersh and Tucker Konczak. Raymond and Kersh were goalies for coaches J.T. Konczak and Jerry Hanna, and the Dynamo is sponsored by Drag-N-Fly Trucking. • Dynamo vs. Knights: For the Dynamo in this contest, Jace Sims and Colton Hanna both scored, and Kelton Kelly, Jared Espinosa, and Tucker Konczak all played well offensively, too. Defensive standouts were Dusty Allen, Kade Kersh, David Amaro, Dawson Blear and Kyle Johnson. Amaro and Espinosa were goalies for this game. • Sidekicks vs. Phoenix: For the Sidekicks, Mason Cole scored. Other offensive standouts were David Chavarria, Connor Quinlan, Drake Plunkett and Jake Knight. Jesse Gaut was the team's goalie, and playing well on defense for the Sidekicks were Jairo Alverez, Preston Vaden, Tristan Bradshaw and Shawn May. The team is coached by Larry Quinlan and Dion Deshazer, and sponsored by Martin Gas.
