PEGGY CAMPBELL
Mrs. Campbell was born June 19, 1935 in Commerce, Texas, daughter of the late Norman and Ruby Camp. She passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Longview. Mrs. Campbell had been a resident of Kilgore since 1969 and retired as Director of Food Service at University of Texas Health Center in Tyler. She was an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Mc- David-McKinley Sunday School Class. She was a member of United Methodist Women and the Hilltopers. Peggy served on several committees, served as the head of the Compassionate Care Ministry for many years and was a member of Bata Sigma Phi. She is survived by her daughter, Sallie Coombs and husband Paul of Montgomery; sons, Brodie Campbell and wife Linda of Longview and John Campbell and wife Kathy of Alvin; sister, Pat Gossett of McAllen; five grandchildren Julie Coombs, B.J. Campbell, Brette Campbell, Jacob Campbell and Jace Campbell; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Geneva Brown.
