Walzel and Farmer unite in marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Corey Farmer (nee Amanda Lee Walzel) Mr. and Mrs. Corey Farmer (nee Amanda Lee Walzel) Amanda Lee Walzel and Corey Michael Farmer were united in marriage on July 19, 2008, at A&M United Methodist Church in College Station. Reverend Laurinda Kwiatkowski officiated the double ring ceremony.

The Bride is the daughter of Brian and Kathy Walzel, of Edmond, OK, formerly of College Station. The groom is the son of Thomas and Renee Farmer of San Angelo, Texas.

The matron of honor was Pamela Bradley of Norman, OK. Bridesmaids were Gina Walzel of Houston, Jennifer Worden of Abilene, Marina Farmer of San Angelo, Sheri Whitaker of San Angelo and Amanda Sapp of College Station. The Best man was Robert C. Humphrey of San Angelo. Groomsmen were Daniel Walzel of Houston, Justin Walzel of Huntsville, Justin Farmer of Abilene, Phillip Borrego of San Angelo, and Matthew Longenette of Bedford. Flower girls were Hannah Miller of Round Rock and Kelsea Stoner of Kilgore. Ring bearer was Parker Rogers of San Angelo.

A reception followed at the College Station Hilton. The event was made extra special by having Amanda's former high school soccer teammates, college teammates and her present Kilgore High School players attend.

Amanda is a 2001 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and a 2006 graduate of Angelo State University. She is currently employed with Kilgore I.S.D.

Corey is 2005 graduate of Central High School and a 2008 graduate of Angelo State University. He is currently employed with Alcatel-Lucent Technologies in Longview.

After a honeymoon trip to Playa Del Carmen, the couple will reside in Longview.
