August wedding for Wilson and McQueen
Mr. and Mrs. Cole McQueen (nee Cara Jo Wilson) Cara Jo Wilson of College Station and Cole McQueen of Chatfield were joined in marriage August 2, 2008. The wedding took place at Greggton First Baptist Church in Longview at 6 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Moore and Rev. Cody McQueen officiating.
Cara is the daughter of Gail and the late Steve Wilson of Kilgore. Her paternal grandparents are Teresa and the late Art Wilson of Longview and her maternal grandparents are Jim and Louise Sanders of Longview.
She graduated from Sabine High School in 2002 and from Texas A&M in College Station with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. Currently, she is a first grade teacher at Kemp Primary School in Kemp.
Cole is the son of Alicia and Stephen McQueen of Temple. His paternal grandparents are Martha andthe late John Mc- Queen of Chapel Hill, Tennessee. His maternal grandparents are the late Stanley and Iva Harshfield, formerly of Temple.
He graduated from Temple High School in 2003 and from Texas A&M College Station in 2007 with a B.S. in Ag Development. He is currently employed by Rosewood Ranch in Ennis, Texas.
Given in marriage by her mother Gail, the bride wore a couture full alencon lace and beaded gown by LaSposa with a chapel train. The angle veil was accented with Swarovski crystals and beads. She carried a picture of her father, the late Steve Wilson, and his handkerchief in her bridal bouquet of oceana roses and white daisies.
Memory candles were lit in memory of family members who had passed away, while music was provided by Stan Roye, organist; Ronda Howe, pianist; Mark Lasater and Jen McQueen, soloists. Flowers were provided by Hallsville Floral.
Maid of honor was Cristi Elmore, cousin of the bride, from Lynchburg, Virginia. Flower girls were cousin of the bride, Kallie Martin of Strong, Arkansas, and Grace Johnson of Bryan. Bridal attendants were Stefanie Lennon of Camp Lejune, N.C.; Billie Ann Maxwell of Austin; Lauryn Edwards of Dallas; Dawn Griffin of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; Lindsey Wiesner of Longview; and Amy Bratteli of Longview.
Best man was Cody Mc- Queen, brother of the groom, from Ft. Worth. Groomsmen were Patrick Read of Houston, Anthony Mayland of Bryan, Robert Bearden of College Station, Wade Braddock of Malakoff, Colby Sawyer of Dallas, and Jeremy Burrell of Houston. Ushers were Robbie Jordan of College Station, Baron Martin of Dallas, Jordan Moore of Dallas, and Chris Chorn of Dallas. The ring bearers were Tyler Martin of Strong, Arkansas; and Tyner Horn of College Station.
Houseparty members were Heather Powdrill of Kyle, Alicia Mohundro of College Station, Stacey Turk of College Station, Jen McQueen of Fort Worth, Sarah Wilson of Celina, and Megan Cochran of Kilgore.
After honeymooning in Savannah, Georgia, the newlymarried couple made their residence in Chatfield, Texas.
