KHS HI-STEPPERS (THE LIGHTER SIDE)
     Rainy days means indoor practice, so the Kilgore High School Hi-Steppers took advantage of the new indoor practice facility. These girls, consisting of freshman through seniors work hard on their routines which they perform for multiple school events as well as competitions. Coleen Clower, director of the Hi-Steppers said she has 41 girls this year. Don't forget to catch their half-time shows during football season.

      Holly Ann Ford and Marcus Wayne Cargill, both of Kilgore, were united in marriage Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Saint Luke's United Methodist Church in Kilgore. Officiating the double-ring, candle lit ceremony was The Reverend Ernie Turney and Mr. Jared Allen, brother-in-law of the groom.

      Dr. Arthur and Patricia Morchat, of Liberty City, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Daniel Arthur Morchat, to Jordan Shea Coulter, of Odessa, Texas. Miss Coulter is the daughter of Paula and Scott Coulter of Odessa. She is a 2003 graduate of Odessa High School and a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M with a degree in nutrition.

      The Kilgore Senior Citizens met Wednesday, August 27, in the Lions building at 307 Rusk Street. President Betty Roebuck called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Red Fleming, and Juanita Riley led the opening prayer.

Born on September 5, 2003, Whitney is the daughter of Waylon and Bridget Hunt.
